About Us
Welcome to Blackhawk Baseball. Home of the Battle Hawks.

Our focus is getting young players to the next level. Here at Blackhawk Baseball we understand each young player comes with a different set of skills and experience. So we adjust accordingly to implement different processes as needed but all fall under our two mission statements; establishing a solid mental approach to the game and playing the game with confidence no matter what the skill level is. If it’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that baseball is a great tool for teaching tough life lessons. A great quote we like is; “Welcome to baseball, the greatest confidence killer ever invented by man.” Very true.
It is a game of failures but mistakes are part of our process, it's how we learn. It's how we get better. We don't treat mistakes like mistakes, we treat them as what they are; opportunities to learn and grow in a way that continues to foster the love of the game.

Yeah, you gotta love this game and be resilient if you're going to play it for any length of time. And having a good mental approach and putting forward a best effort will almost always lead to success. We are here to help plant those seeds.

At Blackhawk Baseball we are committed to teaching a brand of baseball that is focused on hard work, a strong mental approach, proper preparation, a competitive attitude and a nose down approach to playing the game the right way.

Blackhawk Baseball also collaborates with current and former MLB players on a variety of different topics and approaches to learning the game.

If you are looking for the next level you've come to the right place. No matter what age or current ability level your player is at, if your player has a desire to learn the game at a deeper level then please contact us.

Blackhawk Baseball works with players from a variety of different teams, ranging from the top travel baseball programs to many local little leagues. In addition Blackhawk Baseball also has a select, invitation only travel team that competes at the top national tournaments.

Coach Vincent attended Branham High School, while there Coach Vincent played baseball and was also on the wrestling team. As a varsity wrestler Vincent broke three Branham High school records, won league titles and twice placed in CCS tournament to qualify to compete in the the NorCal regions. While baseball was his first love, his high school baseball career was not to be. He only played one year. Which was a good thing, as Vincent realized if he wanted to play again he was going to have to work a lot harder. He did and after high school he made it as a walk-on on to the Cal Poly Pomona Baseball team.

At Cal Poly, under Coach John Scolinos and his staff, Vincent really learned the mental aspect of the the game. Which it turned out, is by far the most important part of the game. His ability went to a new level, approaching the game from a strong mental point of view. It was here that former Cal Poly Baseball Coach and SF GIants 3rd base coach, Wendell Kim, saw Vincent and really took a liking to his play. After Vincent's time on the Cal Poly Broncos, Wendall put Vincent into the SF Giants rookie league club in Arizona.
Vincent played a year and half in the rookie leagues, a shoulder injury on a collision with a very large first baseman had him out for the first half of his second season. It was during this time that Vincent realized it can all end very quickly, he finished out the season and did some hard thinking and felt before it was too late he wanted to re focus back on his education.

In his baseball career Vincent has had the opportunity to learn the game from many different coaches, all with different styles, all with amazing baseball knowledge. He has applied what he learned to all his different teams. His approach begins with a strong mental focus, playing the game the right way win or lose and of course having fun. He has been coaching youth baseball for almost a decade and loves bringing his passion to the next generation of ballers. During his playing career he played against some notable players including Ken Griffey jr, Rodney Pete, Brett Boone and he hit a shot off the fence against Tim Worrell. (He still has the ball).

When he is not on the baseball field Vincent runs a digital media film production company.
